February 2016
Dear Friends and Supporters,
We are thrilled to share with you exciting changes that are happening within our organization. After spending 2+ years collaborating with experts in the fields of special education and entrepreneurship we built a comprehensive curriculum to provide young adults with disabilities access to entrepreneurial education. Although originally designed for individuals on the autism spectrum, we have learned that our program provides benefits to a much wider range of learning styles and varying diagnoses.
In an effort to continue to serve our core audience while also striving to make our curriculum accessible to all, we have decided to change the name of our organization from Celebrate Autism to Celebrate EDU. This decision does not affect or change our mission; we will continue to serve those with autism and developmental disabilities. After much feedback and careful consideration, we believe that our new name is inclusive of all people, regardless of their diagnosis.
Why did we choose “Celebrate EDU”? First, the name represents our commitment to providing innovative entrepreneurial education. Second, the acronym “EDU” represents our purpose:
Empowering those with
Developmental disabilities
Using education & entrepreneurship.
Our name change will be reflected on our website, materials, and social media channels in the coming days. We are very grateful for the support you have given us over the past few years and look forward to sharing our continued growth with you.
